Customers Have to Say

It was time for a Taege. I needed a strong, fast, and long-lasting post driver to cope with the sever conditions we work in. I’ve been in the fencing industry for 40 years and have a good knowledge of what is required to get the job done. We need to be able to fit a few of our own customisations and it had to be safe, fast and strong. We bought our first Taege contractor post driver because of the strong reputation. The best feature is the hydraulic spike turner with the benefit of being faster and a whole lot safer. We’ll be replacing our other post driver with a Taege.
Chris Daley, Fencetec Contracting
I bought my first Taege post driver on the reputation they have and I’ve had trouble-free running for 7 years, never putting a welder to it. The new one I’ve just purchased is great with the extras. The hydraulic spike turner is brilliant for speed and safety and the end shift makes it a very easy one-man operation. It’s a very well made local product that does the job well and what it was built for.

The machine is cost effective in the respect that it has a significantly lower cost of ownership than its disc drill counterparts in both initial outlay and running costs per ha.

This drill has a considerable amount of technology.

In my opinion, in some areas this is actually better than larger, heavier and more expensive European drills. Given that it’s kiwi-made and they are doing a bloody good job of it, with exciting things to come in the future, why wouldn’t you support them?

We have used our 4.8m air seeder for two seasons, with fantastic results. The build quality is excellent, the whole machine and roller is incredibly strong. We’ve used it in some extreme trash conditions, and it’s performed flawlessly. The angle of the S tynes creates perfect tilth for even germination, and doesn’t pull up any rocks; we’re sowing country we’d never have attempted with our previous drill. The calibration system is accurate and simple to use.
I’d definitely recommend it.

Being smaller in size, made it easy to pull without the need to upgrade my tractor, it gave me versatility and accuracy, particularly on
the hills.

When I needed to drill rough, steep, stony hill country, some which has never been drilled before or had a tractor over it; the Taege Air Seeder has proven itself invaluable, for the contour following of a solid 3m drill, with the hill accuracy of air.

Jody Horrell

When I need to drill, I want to go no matter how soft or hard the ground conditions are. The Taege direct tyne drill suits all soil conditions. The success is the tyne action, creating more tilth through the narrow tungsten tip, then the harrows refilling the slot, to get the fine soil around the seed. In my view it’s the easiest drill to calibrate, quick to do and accurate. Maintenance is minimal and straight forward.
This is a very reliable drill

My Taege 3m utility seeder is a winner. User friendly and built to withstand all types of challenges compared to its competition.

No machinery survives on my farm unless its built like the proverbial outhouse, so it was a good trial ground for the Taege cultivator. I’ve done about 10,000ha – 12,000ha and it sure has passed the test. There hasn’t been any cracks or breakages which is a good testament to the product because we go about 13kmh and there are plenty of rocks to contend with. I’m comparing the Taege cultivator equipped with Taege finger harrows with our previous cultivator with a crumbler and the Taege is a definite winner. The Taege also handles the trash a lot better.

The main reasons for purchasing a Taege Seed Drill were the ease of setting it up, and also the design of the tines, which always create a great seedbed, no matter what the conditions of the soil.

Northland has always had its challenges with both weather and soil types.

We haven’t managed to break anything yet, which means that our running costs for the drill have been minimal.

Would recommend the Taege drill to anyone.
